A black and red '61 Firebird painted with skulls and fiery lightning bolts was imbued with the spirit of a psychotic driver passionate about seeing just what his car could do. When he discovered that the car could not only outrace nearly every other car in town, but also survive head-on collisions in games of Chicken as well as take lives easily in hit-and-runs, his addiction turned to utter madness. He was killed one night sleeping in the running car by carbon monoxide poisoning, but his spirit never really left. The car still prowls the streets of Halloweentowne every Halloween night. |

The Destroyer of Temples |
First appearing several centuries ago, the Destroyer of Temples spends each Halloween destroying holy places around Halloweentowne. A manuscript in the Halloweentowne Library (supposedly written by one of the people brought from the real world the year he appeared) tells the tale. A group of monks were brought to Halloweentowne by a black scroll given to them
by a decrepit old man. The manuscript accurately describes bat-like wings and evil, glowing eyes. They fought bravely, but were eventually overcome by his sheer strength. The last monk fled and took to living in Halloweentowne, where he wrote many manuscripts about the town. The fate of the monk is unknown. |

The Demonic Shapeshifter is a vicious monster that has taken innumerable forms through the years: men, women, animals (and a teenage girl in 1999). The shapeshifter often attaches itself to groups of humans and increases attacks upon them by the
monsters of Halloweentowne until they

Destruction |
1984 brought one of the most powerful monsters of Halloweentowne ever: Destruction. He appears as a man in a black trench coat with scraggly black hair. He spends most of his time walking aimlessly, looking at the ground. Whenever he looks up, those who see
his face see the horror of his skin-covered eye sockets. makes him stronger. The group of high school students who came to Halloweentowne when he appeared were given a prophecy that was key to his elimination. The students were slaughtered, and Destruction has walked Halloweentowne since. The prophecy that hints to the way to destroy him has been lost, and through the years he has grown more and more powerful. Destruction was buried in the collapse of the Haunted Hill House in 2008. |

This building has not always been a gas station, but it has taken such a form for its recent incarnation. The monster is actually a shape-shifting beast that takes the forms of caves, buildings, or even vehicles in order to lure unwitting humans inside.
